Twitter Adopts Gorgeous New Homepage Design, Shows Some Love To The Gorge

Twitter has been going through a lot of design changes lately. After recently adopting a much more Facebook-like design, Twitter has now set its sights on their login page. Social media login pages aren't typically anything special to look at. "Sign in here, or sign up below." When the World Cup 2014 came around, Twitter instituted a number of World Cup-focused features, including a new login screen background. Now they've taken it to the next level.

Visit the Twitter homepage and you'll be treated to a full-browser slideshow of selected users' photo Tweets. 5-10 photos rotate and fade between one another while gracefully overlaying the Tweet information like caption, hashtags, and author. It's a really engaging way to meet new Twitter users, and it gives users new and old another good way to take a pulse on what's happening on Twitter at this moment.

And as a Washington-based company, we'd be remiss not to notice or mention that this new feature rolled out with a gorgeous photo of The Gorge Amphitheater during #Sasquatch2014 from user @laurenlemon. Seems only fitting, since The Gorge is the world's most beautiful venue. What do you think of Twitter's new homepage design?
