San Diego Comic-Con 2016: Are you ready for the Superhero Domination?

The annual gathering of comic geeks, movie fans and film enthusiasts at Comic Con San Diego has always been exciting and buzz worthy. And this year was not an exemption. The four-day event gave TV and movie panels the chance to cut through the noise, pique the audience’s curiosity and heighten the excitement.

While some of these superhero movies have release dates already, there are some that don’t yet. Production companies even have untitled movies that keep the fans guessing. One thing is for sure though, this year’s Comic con San Diego is heavy on super humans with extraordinary powers! Here are few of them:

1. Justice League

Justice League was a surprise revelation during the comic-con with DC aiming to get the momentum from Avengers’ ground. The plot unites Batman and Wonder Woman looking out for partners equally powerful to fight heads on against Steppenwolf. While he wasn’t seen on the video clip, Superman announced that he’ll join in the league alongside Batman, Wonder Woman, Cyborg, The Flash and Aquaman.

2. Doctor Strange

Played by no less than Benedict Cumberbatch, Doctor Strange features a talented neurosurgeon who must act as an intermediary between the real world and the alternate universe. He explored mysticism, using a range of metaphysical abilities. There are new characters to get acquainted too as in the likes of Kaecilius and The ancient.

3. Wonder Woman

Wonder Woman’s appearance in Batman Vs. Superman was well-loved and received that she was able to come up with her own movie.  Diana Prince AKA Wonder Woman would meet Steve Trevor who was washed ashore on Diana’s island. Steve narrates the terrors of World War 1 that takes place in the outside world. During the Comic Con, Gal Gadot reveals how she studied the life of Princess Diana as her inspiration for the role saying, "We need heroes who are strong enough to be loving and forgiving…that's what Wonder Woman in particular stands for."

4. Black Panther

T'Challa, prince of Wakanda, took the role of Black Panther after his father died. The director revealed that the Wakandan prince will have a tough enemy in the person of Erik Killmonger. More so, Marvel shared that the film follows how this African nation meets the world. Black Panther made his big screen debut in the recent Captain America movie.

5. Guardians of the Galaxy 2

Although James Gunn isn’t ready to share the teaser yet, fans are still excited for the sequel. The plot of the story revolves around Star Lord’s parentage.  Plus, who doesn’t want to see Baby Groot?
